How We Got Here
The reason I started this journey was simple: for years I kept running into people who called themselves “masters” but didn’t really deliver. Many relied only on memorized routines, froze when faced with something new, or said “I can do it” even when they clearly couldn’t.
I saw people who promised to show up but never did. “I’ll be there in 10 minutes” often turned into hours of waiting. Excuses were endless and familiar: taking a parent to the hospital, rushing to a daughter’s engagement, a car engine breaking down… When it came to asking for money they were hawks, but when it came to doing the work they were sparrows.
I also saw jobs done halfway: electricians leaving cables stripped in the bilge, carpenters nailing boards on top instead of removing the old ones, varnish mixed with the wrong thinner just to dry faster, or ordering extra materials to stash away for the next project. Sounds familiar, right? Because much of the market is in the hands of people who don’t really know their craft.
And then there’s the money side. The idea that “boat owners are rich, so let’s charge five times for a one‑unit job” never made sense to me. Yes, working on boats is tough. But there’s a clear line between fair trade and taking advantage—and too often that line gets crossed. Boat owners don’t have to know everything, but contrary to what some think, they are conscious and attentive. Otherwise, they wouldn’t own that boat in the first place. Our approach is simple: show the real cost, the real effort, and the real value. Nothing more, nothing less.
After seeing all this, I started doing my own work. Of course, there are good craftsmen and good companies out there. Do we know everything? No, of course not. But over time, a handful of truly skilled masters, reliable companies, and trusted suppliers passed through our filter and became part of our portfolio. By coordinating these resources, we learned how to deliver the job the right way.
Our Way
For us, “vision, mission, values” aren’t long lists on a wall. You can see what we stand for in the way we work.
We’d rather be defined by the quality of our results than by words. Our values and ethics aren’t written down—they’re reflected in the outcome.
It’s not up to us to declare who we are. It’s up to those who choose to work with us.
